Jojoba oil is renowned for its absorption and moisturising abilities, our jojoba oil is cold pressed from the Jojoba Seed. Because of its fatty acid make up, jojoba oil is very resistant to oxidation (and rancidity) and has a very long shelf life.
Jojoba oil penetrates through hair follicles but it doesn’t block those follicles. And jojoba actually mixes with the sebum on our bodies to create a thin non occlusive layer of jojoba oil and sebum. This is one of the reasons it is said jojoba allows our skin to “breathe” – it isn’t occlusive, and mixes with the sebum. Because of this feature, jojoba can help with scalp problems, making it a great addition to hair products.
It takes 1200 Jojoba nuts to add up to a pound which has a 50% yield of oil, which is one of the reasons it is more expensive than other oils.
