Lemongrass Cochin Essential Oil

Lemongrass essential oil has long been used in India to bring down fevers and reduce infections.

Effect on mind: Purifying, stimulating and refreshing for the mind. Helpful for mental fatigue and loss of concentration.

Effect on body: Excellent tonic when recovering from illness. Stimulates glandular secretions and the digestive processes. Encourages appetite and may be helpful with gastric problems. Discourages the spread of contagious diseases, particularly infections such as sore throats, laryngitis and fevers. Has a toning effect on muscles, relieves pain, eliminates lactic acid and stimulates circulation. Clears headaches, fatigue and symptoms of jet lag. Said to aid flow of breast milk in nursing mothers. Excellent combating insects and fleas.

Effect on skin: Tonic effect and balances oil conditions. Good for athletes foot and fungal infections.

Do not apply undiluted essential oils to your skin. Use a carrier oil or solvent to dilute first.

Eyes

Do not drip undiluted essential oils into eyes as this will cause a chemical burn and may result in temporary blindness. Diluted essential oils may be used close to the eyes. More here.

Ears

Undiluted essential oils should not be dripped into the ears, but diluted essential oils may be placed on a cotton wad for partial insertion.

Children

Keep essential oils in a place where young children cannot reach them, and never let them handle essential oils bottles.

Contraindications

If you have a skin condition, are pregnant, have epilepsy or asthma, are on a course of treatment with prescribed medication, or are in any doubt about any condition you may have, you are advised to seek the advice of a doctor or suitable practitioner before using pure essential oils.

    Always a favourite by my customers, scent lasts well in CP and doesn’t accelerate, if anything it slows down so plenty of time to play around with designs if needed.

    Everyone loves lemongrass essential oil, defiantly a crowd pleaser with customers in cp soap, shampoo and conditioner bars. I pair it with Rosemary essential oil. I will defiantly be ordering more
